Make your Own Baby Food
There are many benefits to making your own baby food. To save money and no artificial ingredients are obvious, but did you know it’s actually convenient? When heating up baby food in jars, it is recommended that leftovers from the jar not be reused. So you have to pour the amount you think your baby will eat into a separate container and heat up. All you have to do is prepare ingredients-peal (if needed) and cut into pieces. If you are making vegetable(s), cook them first until desired tenderness. Put your ingredients into blender and blend to desired consistency. Add as much water as needed. Pour into ice cube tray(s) and place in freezer. When the ‘ice cubes’ are completely frozen you can take them out and store in a zipper bag in freezer until ready to use. When you are ready to use them, just heat up in microwave. Be sure to stir and check temperature before feeding to baby since a microwave will heat the inner part faster. You can also try your own flavors; squash, corn, or use a few strawberries or kiwi for flavor. A minimal amount of sugar can be added for flavor. You can also try the same method with leftovers like spaghetti or soap with only a little broth. I found it easier to make many batches in one day so you will have several week’s worth.

I also make my own babyfood - it’s cheap, saves on shopping trips and is great when you have big eaters. Plus, it’s fun to be creative and mix different flavors.
